Two contractors in city hall bribery scandal case were sentenced. They had paid more than $1 million in bribes. Contractor E.R Mitchell was sentenced to five years and Charles Richard is sentenced to two years in prison.

Mitchell and Richard pleaded guilty to commit bribery and money laundering. Both of them agreed to cooperate with the ongoing investigation.

Prison time would be reduced for at least one of them. Mitchell was once known as one of the best-known government contractors in the metro area; his cooperation is definitely required for further investigation.
