Floyd County Police Department has arrested 2 men in the off-campus murder of a Berry College student. The victim was identified as Joseph McDaniel, 19. He was shot to death on Friday Night at an off-campus location.

The suspects were identified as Ricket Damon Carter III, 19, and Troy Jamal Cokley, 19. They are charged with murder, aggravated assault, possession of controlled substance and armed robbery.

Police said in the statement that two suspects went to meet McDaniel and an argument between them led to the death of Berry student.

McDaniel majored in Business management in Berry; he was a third-year student.
