Guru Purnima Samaiyo in Atlanta!

Guru Purnima is celebrated on the night of a full moon, in the month of Ashadh of Hindu calender. Hindus traditionally celebrate and honor the importance of a Guru on this occasion. It is also known as Vyas Purnima, the day is celebrated in remembrance and veneration to sage Ved Vyas.

In Sanskrit, the root word "Gu" means darkness or ignorance and the word "Ru" denotes the remover of that darkness. Therefore, one who removes the darkness of our ignorance is a Guru. Only he who removes our ultimate darkness, known as maya, and who inspires and guides us onto the path of God-realization, is the true Guru.

Here is the great opportunity to participate in an auspicious event in Atlanta. Don't miss!
