Ask a chocolate lover what would they trade chocolate for and the answer you get to hear is “can never forgo my love!” Yes, that is what chocolate is meant as it gives you an instant happiness and an involuntary smile which can be felt with every bite of the chocolate that you take and the essence leaves you in a trance of happy emotions that are uncontrollable.

What can be better than a jar filled with fresh bunch of chocolate chip cookies waiting for you to take a bite? Prepare the cookies and store them in an air tight container. The fresh feel of the cookies leaves you with an overwhelmed feeling each time you munch onto them and would serve as a great snack for the high tea.

So, here is the recipe for making the chocolate chip cookies at home.

The ingredients need to make chocolate chip cookies:

  • One cup of softened butter
  • One and a half cup of white sugar
  • Eggs- 2 in number
  • Two teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • Two cups of all purpose flour
  • Two- third cup of cocoa powder
  • Three- fourth teaspoon of baking soda
  • One- fourth teaspoon of salt
  • Two cups of semisweet chocolate chips

The directions for making chocolate chip cookies:

Step 1:

Pre- heat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit which is 190 degrees Celsius.

Step 2:

Take a large bowl and add eggs. Whisk the eggs properly and then add sugar. Mix the two ingredients until the sugar completely dissolves.

Step3:

Add the butter and vanilla to the mixture and beat it until light and fluffy and keep it aside.

Step4:

Take a bowl and add the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt and combine them well. Once the powders get mixed up nicely, add it to the butter mixture and stir it until well blended.

Step 5:

Add the chocolate chips and give it a stir in order to ensure that the chocolate chips are evenly combined with the mixture.

Step 6:

The dough can be scooped by either using an ice cream scoop or the rounded teaspoons can also be used in order to scoop out the dough and drop them onto a baking tray which is lined with parchment paper.

Step 7:

Bake for eight to twelve minutes in the preheated oven, or just until set. Let them cool slightly on the cookie sheet before transferring them to the wire racks to cool completely.

Step 8:

Once the cookies are set, they can be transferred and served in the serving plate.
