The BCCI has announced that the Indian cricket team, along with its support team, will receive a cash prize of Rs 21 crore for their perfect performance in the recently finished Asia Cup. This was shared after the team's victory over their main competitors, Pakistan, by five wickets in the final held in Dubai on Sunday. "It was a remarkable win, so to celebrate, the BCCI has declared a cash award of Rs 21 crore for the players and the support staff who were part of the Indian Asia Cup team," said BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia. However, the organization did not provide specifics on how the money will be divided.
"This money will be shared, and it is a significant reward for our team, the Indian cricket board, and the citizens of India. We are very proud of our players and support staff for their excellent performance in Dubai," Saikia continued. The BCCI also shared a happy message on its social media accounts. "Three strikes. No response. Asia Cup Champions. Message sent. Rs 21 crores prize money for the team and support staff," it said, highlighting India's winning streak against Pakistan. The Indian team remained unbeaten during the tournament, achieving victory in all seven of their matches. "The unbeaten champions of ASIA.
