Microsoft unveils disc-less, all-digital Xbox console at Games Showcase

Microsoft may use Sony and PlayStation for its Xbox console series. At the annual Xbox Game Show, Microsoft announced a series of redesigned consoles and several games. A new wave of gaming hardware and exciting new titles were highlighted, including the next installment in the Call of Duty series. New hardware announcements:

During this exhibition, Microsoft introduced three new versions of its gaming console.
Xbox Series X All Digital: A disc-free version of Xbox Series
Fully digital Xbox Series S: The counterpart to the Series
Xbox Series X Special Edition: This version has 2TB of storage, twice the capacity of the standard model.
These hardware updates are a strategic move to strengthen Xbox's market position against rivals like Sony's PlayStation 5, especially at a time when digital game sales are becoming increasingly dominant.

Game trailers and announcements:

The show featured trailers for more than a dozen upcoming games, including highlights like:
Doom: The Dark Ages: The final chapter in the venerable Doom series promises to continue the series' tradition of intense first-person shooter action.
Gears of War: A preview of the latest installment in the popular series that kept fans waiting for five years.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6: The highly anticipated game, scheduled to release in October, was the centerpiece of the event.

A significant number of the games featured on launch day will be available on Xbox Game Pass, including the new Doom and Call of Duty games. It represents Microsoft's strategic investment in subscription services aimed at attracting budget-conscious gamers amid economic challenges. Xbox Game Pass continues to be a compelling offering for customers who value instant access to original titles.

The Activision Blizzard Features Showcase contained special features from Activision Blizzard Studios for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Developers Treyarch and Raven Software released a clip from a campaign from the early 1990s. They highlighted several new features, including the Advanced Movement System, a new feature that allows players to run in all directions at high speed, increasing the fluidity and dynamism of the game. We also get Zombie Mode, a teaser of the fan favorite that has become a staple of the series.
