Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is anticipated to be introduced worldwide early next year as the next premium model from the South Korean smartphone company. Lately, a mention of this phone was found in the code for Samsung's Android 16-based One UI 8.5 update, indicating that it might include a "Private Display" feature. Now, important details about the phone have leaked online, suggesting it might have improved heat management and a "lighter design" compared to the previous model. A source recently disclosed that the device could support 60W fast charging with a cable. An independent tech expert, Jason C. (@_TheJasonC), posted the main specifications of the expected Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. The device is reportedly going to have a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen. This display is expected to be brighter and “more efficient.” It may be driven by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset globally, while in some areas, it might have an Exynos 2600 SoC.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is likely to come with Android 16-based One UI 8.5 right away. The tech company might also provide seven years of software updates. It is rumored to include 16GB of RAM as standard and offer up to 1TB of internal storage. Regarding the camera, the phone might have a 200-megapixel main camera on the back with an "upgraded aperture," coupled with a 50-megapixel 5x telephoto lens and a 50-megapixel ultrawide-angle sensor. It could feature a 5,000mAh battery with support for 60W fast charging wired and 15W fast charging wirelessly, thanks to the Qi 2 standard. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to be 7.9mm thick, while boasting a “lighter design,” improved thermal performance, and a "more durable" frame. Set to replace this year’s Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, the phone was recently found in the incomplete One UI 8.5 code, suggesting that it may have “Private Display” and “Privacy Display” features. Furthermore, the device is expected to support 60W fast charging with a cable, which would be an enhancement over the Galaxy S25 Ultra's 45W fast charging. However, the smartphone was also listed in China’s 3C with a capacity of 45W wired fast charging.
