Poco X8 Pro Series goes on Sale in India

The Poco X8 Pro series was introduced in India and other worldwide locations on March 17 as the newest part of the brand's X series. This lineup includes the Poco X8 Pro Max 5G and the Poco X8 Pro 5G, which are now available for purchase in the country through an online shopping site. The phones in the Poco X8 Pro series come in three colors each and have up to three different storage options. The Pro and Pro Max models run on the newly launched MediaTek Dimensity chipsets. Both devices come with Xiaomi’s Android 16-based HyperOS 3 and feature dual rear cameras. The Poco X8 Pro 5G is priced starting at Rs. 32,999 for the entry-level 8GB + 256GB configuration. The highest variant with 12GB + 256GB is available for Rs. 35,999. The Poco X8 Pro 5G Iron Man Edition is priced at Rs. 37,999 and includes 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G starts at Rs. 42,999 for the version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The premium 12GB + 512GB option is priced at Rs. 46,999.

The Xiaomi sub-brand is providing a special first sale bank promotion worth up to Rs. 3,000 with cards from HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and SBI. Customers also have the choice to join the Poco Shield program, which gives a one-year extended warranty and one year of screen damage protection. Additionally, the company is including two months of YouTube Premium and three months of Spotify Premium subscriptions for free. Poco's latest phones are now available in India through Flipkart. The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G can be found in Black, Blue, and White colors, while the standard Poco X8 Pro 5G comes in Black, Green, and White shades. The new Poco X8 Pro series devices are dual SIM phones that run on Xiaomi's latest Android 16-based HyperOS 3. The Poco X8 Pro 5G has a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen, boasting a refresh rate up to 120Hz and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. In contrast, the Poco X8 Pro Max 5G features a 6.59-inch AMOLED touchscreen with similar specifications. Both models have IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K ratings for protection against dust and water. The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G is driven by a 3nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chip, along with 12GB of LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 built-in storage, while the Poco X8 Pro 5G is powered by a 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra SoC, with up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 internal storage. Both devices are equipped with the Poco 3D Ice Loop cooling systems. The Pro Max and Pro models feature heat dissipation areas of 5,800 sq mm and 5,300 sq mm, respectively.

In the camera aspect, the Poco X8 Pro 5G and Poco X8 Pro Max 5G come with two rear camera systems. They are equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.8) that includes optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera that has a 120-degree viewing angle. Each phone also has a 20-megapixel front camera for taking selfies and making video calls. Both models can capture videos in 4K at 60 frames per second. The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G includes a large battery of 9,000mAh. On the other hand, the Poco X8 Pro 5G has a 6,500mAh battery. These new devices offer support for fast charging at 100W through wired connections and enable wired reverse charging at 27W.
