Google began introducing its Material 3 Expressive makeover for Google One earlier this year, and this enhancement now seems to be extending to the Storage Manager page. The refreshed layout is said to provide a more swipe-friendly design, allowing users to easily retain or remove photos, videos, and documents. Unlike the previous layout, which showcased large images, the current version seems to present smaller images. The update is also reported to include a new checkmark for selecting media files. These updates were reportedly observed in the version 1.287.828055836 of the Google One application. Android Authority mentioned that they noticed the Material 3 Expressive redesign on the Google One Storage Manager page in version v1.287.828055836. The new features can be found in the Storage and Cleanup area on the page, accessible by tapping the "Clean up" card on the home screen or by choosing the "Clean up space" option under the Storage tab.

The report contains images showing the updated user interface with smaller images, which enable the storage of more files in the same area. The checkmark for selecting items appears to have a new look, and the filter options are now organized in one row. A new suggestion card at the top encourages users to delete unnecessary files. The cleanup pages for Google Drive and Google Photos have also reportedly embraced the Material 3 Expressive style. The size of the images is said to be reduced, and the redesigned checkmark, single-row filter options, and the card placed at the top are in line with the new design concept. When users start picking files on Google Photos and Drive, the Storage Manager reportedly features a new swipe interface, similar to the Tinder-style layout. This allows users to effortlessly keep or remove items. The update enhances the amount of information displayed in both Google Photos and Google Drive cleanup areas. These modifications are reportedly being gradually rolled out to all users.
