Nobel peace prize nominee, 15, describes her return to school as the most important day of her life

A Brave girl offered effective resistance …

Malala Yousafzai, the 15-year-old Pakistani schoolgirl who was shot in the head by the Taliban for promoting girls' education in her country, on Tuesday offered effective resistance to her attackers by returning to a school in Britain where she underwent several surgeries.

Moreover, after her first day of classes at Edgbaston High School for Girls in Birmingham she said that she is excited that today she have achieved her dream of going back to school.

In fact she added that she want all girls in the world to have this basic opportunity while she said that she misses her classmates from Pakistan very much but she is looking forward to meeting her teachers and making new friends there in Birmingham.

According to the statement from the school, Malala has joined the girls in Year 9 and will be studying a full curriculum in preparation for selecting her subjects for GCSEs. While it also asked the media to "allow her to attend school without any act of permission and to respect the privacy of other pupils and parents".

Going back to those painful days....

On October 9, Malala was returning home from school in Pakistan's north-western Swat district last year when gunmen stopped her bus and shot her in the head and the chest. As an impact of which the bullet entered just above her left eye, running along her jaw and "grazing" her brain.

Fact-fully, surgeons in Pakistan removed the bullet before she was air-lifted to the UK for life-saving treatment at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

On the other hand, the Taliban had said it shot Malala for "promoting secularism" while sparking international violence.

A Noble thought from the young girl...

Quiet interestingly, she is set to secure permanent residence in the UK after her father, Ziauddin Yousafzai, was given a job with the Pakistani consulate in Birmingham for the next three years.

Extremely brave girl Malala while speaking in a recorded video message for the first time since the attack, had announced a fund to be used to help provide education for all young people.

Noble character Nobel honour...

Malala was also nominated for the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize earlier this month.

According to prize observer Kristian Berg Harpviken, the head of the Peace Research Institute of Oslo, she is a candidate who comprises of several causes such as the rights of girls and women, education, youth, along with the fight against extremism.

Fact-fully, for a noble girl like her there can be no doubt while saying that she deserves the Nobel Peace for sure!
