Fresh charges framed against Saif Ali Khan, three others based on Blackbuck hunting case...

A Jodhpur court today read out fresh charges against actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre in a case of hunting of blackbucks in Rajasthan 14 years ago.

Moreover, the actors were alleged under the Wildlife Protection Act with impulsive actor Salman Khan to hunt blackbucks, and unlawful assembly.

Now the fact remains, that if they are declared to be guilty of an offense, would result with facing up to six years in jail. It seems that the actors refused the charges after the judge read them out.

In fact, Salman Khan, who is also an accused in the case, had sought exemption from appearance in court today.

To move ahead...

The trial will now begin with cross-examination by the prosecution and defence counsels while the court will hear the case again on April 27. Fact-fully, the poaching case was filed against the actors in 1998 for having allegedly shot blackbucks in a village near Jodhpur during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain.

As a matter of fact, the blackbuck is a protected animal under the Wildlife Protection Act.

Salman has faced a long drawn out legal battle in the chinkara and blackbuck poaching cases and has been jailed twice in Jodhpur - in 1998 and 2007. In January, the Supreme Court declined to accept the Rajasthan government's plea that Salman Khan and the four others should also be tried for wild disorder in the blackbuck hunting case.

As a concluding fact, if it gets impressed with a sense of guilt would ensure a disastrous outcome for all the actors while ruining their fame factor for sure!

Because law stands same for all!
