The attack on Iran last week destroyed Israel's entire advanced air defense system and left the regime "virtually naked," officials said. In two strikes this year, Israel destroyed all four squadrons of Russian S-300 air defense systems in Iran, American and Israeli officials said. One was destroyed in April and three were destroyed last week. According to Fox News, in addition to destroying the S-300 system, Israel has also attacked other Iranian air defense and radar systems, which could impact Iran's ability to track or deter a new wave of attacks on Israel and hamper Israel's success in the face of Russia There is no warning about air defense systems not only for Iran and Russia, but also for other countries that rely heavily on Russian military equipment, such as India. For more than two years, Russian military equipment has been regularly damaged in the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East. Ukraine was repeatedly attacked by Western weapons systems during the war. However, according to the Wall Street Journal, "Israel's attack on Iran is the focus of India's attention, but there is no immediate concern in India."

Traditionally, India has been a recipient of Russian arms and ammunition, although these imports have steadily declined over the past decade as India strengthens its ties with the West and becomes one of the largest importers. India has purchased six S-400 air defense systems from Russia, which is a step more than the S-300 air defense systems that Israel destroyed in Iran. The S-400 is Russia's most advanced air defense system and is considered a direct response to the American Patriot air defense system, which currently partially defends Ukraine and Israel. The Wall Street Journal's Daniel Michaels and Rajesh Roy say Western security analysts have long warned that the development of the S-400 would significantly weaken air superiority for North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATA) countries and their allies. According to this newspaper, India is still not worried about the poor performance of Russian air defense systems in Iran.

India has purchased six S-400 air defense units for use along its borders with China and Pakistan. Four of these batteries have already been delivered, but the last two have been delayed as India pushes for delivery by the end of next year. There is a special case in India, where weapon systems from several countries are used. For example, India uses the Russian S-400, but also a medium-range surface-to-air missile (MRSAM) developed with Israel and the indigenous Akash system. Another Indian official told the Wall Street Journal that India's portfolio is quite diverse and India is not worried at the moment. “But as far as India is concerned, it doesn’t just rely on Russian technology. His portfolio is diverse,” the official said.
