Fake accounts on social media platforms are nothing bizarre. You could be sometimes surprised seeing celebs amassing heaps of followers on their Instagram or Facebook handles, but what if I say you half of those follower accounts are fake.

Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, who currently has 37.9 million and 43.6 million followers on Instagram respectively, are among the 10 celebrities who have maximum numbers of followers or "bots" on Instagram.

According to an analysis from the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP), Deepika is in the sixth place on fake followers’ list with 48 percent followers emerging fake.

Priyanka secured 10th place on the list as 46 percent of the actresses’ Instagram followers appeared fake.
