Air India Purchases 470 Aircrafts

After IndiGo signs a deal of 500 A320 planes, now Tata-owned Air India on Tuesday finalized an order to buy 470 aircraft, that is 250 Airbus aircraft and 220 new Boeing Jets worth USD 70 Billion.

For long-term growth and success, TATA in order to represent the best modern aviation to the world took up this landmark deal said, Chandrasekaran, Tata Sons and Air India chairman. With this deal, Air India is going to be the best competitor for IndiGo, which has the majority share in the Indian domestic flight market. Satair and Boeing Global Services will now support Air India for maintenance provisioning, digital applications and modifications services.

Air India expressed their happiness through social media, “Happy to share that we have signed purchase agreements with @Airbus and @BoeingAirplanes at Paris Air Show today to add 470 new aircraft to enhance our fleet strength! Air India is committed to playing its part in building New India”, Air India tweeted

This is the second largest order book, with a 6% share of the industry followed by the United States of America. With all the efforts from Indian aviation and flight services, India is turning out to be the best Airline. India has the fastest-growing aviation market because of its largest population.
