Oppo is rumored to be getting ready to launch a small tablet. We have some new information about it, thanks to a source. This upcoming tablet is expected to be named the Oppo Pad Mini. It might have a screen smaller than 9 inches and a different size ratio than regular tablets. The Oppo Pad Mini is likely to use Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon processor. It's also expected to come with an 8,000mAh battery. A tipster named Digital Chat Station shared some leaked specs for the Oppo Pad Mini in a post on Weibo. The tablet is said to feature an 8.8-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,882 x 1,920 pixels, a 144Hz refresh rate, a maximum brightness of up to 1,800 nits, and a 3:2 size ratio.

Inside, the tablet could run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. In terms of camera, the Pad Mini might include a 13-megapixel camera on the back. It is expected to have a metal frame, weighing around 279 grams and being 5.39mm thick. Oppo might release this tablet in colors like dark gray, purple, and cyan.

According to the source, the Oppo Pad Mini might contain an 8,000mAh battery. Fast charging at 67W is also rumored to be supported. Connectivity features might include the ability to use eSIM. This potential Pad Mini could be Oppo's first small tablet. However, the company has not yet confirmed that the device will be released. It may compete with Apple's iPad mini. Apple is, notably, expected to launch the eighth-generation iPad mini later this year. As for features, the rumored tablet could get a high-quality OLED screen, which would improve color quality and provide better contrast compared to the current LCD version. Along with this, Apple is anticipated to make the iPad Mini water-resistant too. Thus, the tablet might have an IP-rating for the first time. There’s no news yet about when the Oppo Pad Mini will be launched. If the leaks are true, it could become one of the top small-sized Android tablets to look out for in the next few months.
