Xiaomi 17T is set to be released in India early next month, as the smartphone manufacturer revealed on Friday. This introduction of the phone will signify the return of the company's T series in the nation, following the launch of the Xiaomi 11T Pro in January 2022 as the last model available in India. Recently, the company shared that the Xiaomi 17T series, likely to feature two models, will be unveiled in certain global markets on May 28. While the details about the phone are not yet disclosed, the Xiaomi 17T is rumored to run on an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8000 series processor. Additionally, it is said that the phone will have a large 6,500mAh battery. On Friday, the tech giant confirmed that the new Xiaomi 17T will be available in India on June 4, bringing back the series to the country after several years. This announcement follows the company's hints about the launch of a new T series phone in India, using the phrase “The T is coming. ”

The new Xiaomi 17T will be introduced in India one week after its global launch on May 28. The phone is rumored to feature a Leica-tuned triple rear camera setup, which will be organized within a square camera module, along with an LED flash. For the global market, the tech company is likely to release two models named Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro. However, sources indicate that the Pro version may not be released in India and will be kept for other global markets. Although the company has not yet disclosed detailed specifications and features, it is expected that the Xiaomi 17T will be equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor, capable of reaching a maximum clock speed of 3.4GHz. The standard version is also likely to come with a 6,500mAh battery. It may include 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and offer up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 internal storage. The Xiaomi 17T is expected to have a 50-megapixel (f/1.77) Light Fusion 800 main rear camera, accompanied by a 50-megapixel (f/1.8) telephoto lens with as much as 5x optical zoom and a 12-megapixel (f/2.2) ultrawide camera. There could also be a 32-megapixel camera for selfies. Regarding price, the upcoming Xiaomi 17T is expected to retail between $780 (approximately Rs. 74,000) and $800 (around Rs. 76,000) in the United States and between Rs. 69,000 and Rs. 72,000 in India.
