Congress MP Sonia Gandhi was taken to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in the capital after having trouble with her breathing on Monday. A statement from the hospital mentioned that she is currently in stable condition and is responding positively to her care. Ajay Swaroop, the chairman of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, revealed that after conducting a thorough medical assessment, it was determined that Sonia Gandhi's bronchial asthma had worsened slightly due to the combined impact of the cold weather and high pollution levels in Delhi. As a safety measure, doctors decided to keep her for observation and additional treatment. "She was facing breathing challenges, and the exam showed that her bronchial asthma had worsened slightly from the effects of the cold weather and pollution. To ensure her safety, she was admitted for further monitoring and care. Right now, her condition is perfectly stable," Swaroop stated in an official message.

In providing more information about her care, the hospital chairman noted that the Congress MP is doing well with the treatment and is being managed with antibiotics and other supportive medicines. Swaroop also mentioned that the doctors responsible for her care will make a decision about her discharge based on how she progresses. "At this moment, her condition is completely stable. She is positively responding to treatment and is being managed with antibiotics and other supportive medications. The treating doctors will decide when she can go home based on her clinical progress, and it could be in a day or two," Swaroop explained.
